As we mentioned earlier, Nike hired Annie Leibovitz, who shot roughly every iconic celebrity photograph between 1970 and probably a minute ago, to photograph its fall 2011 print campaign. The theme, built around seven female sports figures, is "Make yourself," which the company says is meant to inspire women to "achieve their goals and become the best 'versions' of themselves." My guess is that these toned, photogenic athletes are pretty far along in that process. The athletes featured are tennis players Maria Sharapova and Li Na, runners Allyson Felix and Perri Shakes-Drayton, soccer player Hope Solo, dancer Sofia Boutella, and surfer Laura Enever. The ads will run in Seventeen, InStyle, and Glamour. More images after the jump.
