Tim Lindsay, the former president of TBWA U.K. and chairman of Publicis U.K., is the new chief executive of the D&AD, the British design and art direction charity that hosts the annual awards show in London.
Lindsay, who joined D&AD’s executive committee last September, left TBWA in 2009 and has also been president of Lowe Worldwide and managing director of Young & Rubicam, London. He takes over from Tim O’Kennedy, the former Wieden + Kennedy managing director and Nike international marketing director, who took the D&AD top job two years ago.
O’Kennedy joined the D&AD from Swedish agency Perfect Fools. O'Kennedy, widely regarded for making changes at the D&AD and increasing award submissions and memberships, said he is leaving the organization to look after his kids and support his partner who’s received a new career opportunity. |
