Deep Focus has hired Amy Eagle as managing director, a new position at the interactive agency, and promoted Ken Kraemer to executive creative director. He is the first person to serve in that capacity.
Eagle, 40, was previously general manager at mobile marketing agency The Hyperfactory. She began her career on the West Coast at agencies like Wieden + Kennedy, McCann Erickson and DDB. In 2003, she moved to New York, where she led communications planning at Carat and also worked at Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners as director of client services.
In her new Deep Focus position, Eagle has oversight of the agency’s teams working on client service, strategy, media, production, PR and social communications.
Kraemer, 35, joined Deep Focus in November 2009 as group creative director. Prior to that role, Kraemer was creative director at digital design and marketing agency IconNicholson, where he oversaw a business unit that worked on accounts like Coca-Cola, McKinsey and MasterCard. He’s also worked at Atmosphere BBDO, where he led the user experience practice and handled business like GE, Target, Emirates Airline, Citi, AT&T, Cingular Wireless, and PepsiCo.
Deep Focus, founded nearly 10 years ago by Ian Schafer who serves as CEO, was acquired in October 2010 by Engine U.S.A., part of London-based Engine Group. The American unit was established in New York in February 2010 by former Ammirati & Puris founder, Martin Puris, who is CEO, and John Bernbach, the former DDB Needham vice chairman, who is Engine U.S.A.’s COO. |
